This beautiful award comes from Nayna of Simply Foods
Nayna has a wonderful collection of recipes plus fruit and vegetable carvings in her blog. Do visit her blog.
Thankyou very much Nayna for presenting my blog with this Award. It's the first one of it's kind and I feel honoured to have received it. This award comes with a tag and some rules:
The rules for this award are:
1. Thank the person who awarded me.
2. Share 7 things about myself.
3. Pass it on to 5 people who I think are fantastic. Now this will be a difficult decision as I follow a lot of blogs - some write about food, some about pet peeves and some write about current affairs.
I have also been tagged by Nivedita from Nivedita's kitchen , Jagruti from Joyofcooking and Preeti from Isingcakes. Please visit these blogs as each one has a unique blend of recipes. One of the blogs has fantastic recipes for Indian food, one has the recipes for the best cakes ever, one delights you with recipes and Bollywood music and one even has little jokes. All these bloggers are the new friends I made in 2010. Please visit them and leave some comments on their blogs.
I pass this tag and Award to the following 5 blogs :
1. Linda from carving fruit into edible arrangements
2. Umm Mymoonah at Taste of Pearl City
3. Biren from Roti n Rice
4. Ms Chitchat from Chitchat & Crossroads
5. Suhaina at My Singapore Kitchen
Now I will share 7 things about me:
1. In spite of my father being a very good chef, I only started taking an interest in cooking after I got married. Whilst I was growing up, my father always felt that I shouldn't waste my time in the kitchen.
2. I have always wanted to write a cookery book but never had the time. I wish that I had paid more attention to my dad's cooking and written down some of his recipes.
3. I love to travel and meet new people and have travelled to some wonderful places. My favourite place so far has been Japan which I have visited several times. I love the Japanese people who are so polite, keep their country clean, recycle everything systematically and everything in Japan runs on time.
4. I am an obsessive cleaner and can not stand anything messy or untidy. This is one of the reasons, I don't employ a cleaner as I would never behappy with their work.!!
5. I would like to live in Orlando, Florida when I retire.
6. No one – not even my family know what my favourite dish is! I think over the years, even I can't remember it as I have so busy making everyone else's favourite dishes.
7. I am so glad that I have made so many friends through my blog and facebook and I look forward to making more friends in 2011.
