Announcing the Celebrate Sweets Event focusing on "Gujarati Sweets"

Some of you will recall that Nivedita from Nivedita’s kitchen started an event called Celebrate Sweets. It’s hosted each month by a new blogger.

I have the pleasure of hosting this wonderful event from 7 July 2011 until 7 August 2011 and I am looking forward to your wonderful recipes.

The focus of the Celebrate sweets event will be on “ Gujarati sweets” so I am looking forward learning about  some good old fashioned traditional “Gujarati Sweets”.  Please talk to your grannies and discover the hidden gems of Gujarati sweets.  I am keen that all recipes are collected in one place for generations to refer to.

Rules for participating in this event are:

1. Create any Gujarati Sweet dish.

2. Multiple recipes are permitted.  The more the better.

3. Recipes submitted to other events are also permitted.

4. Recipes from archives will be accepted but ONLY if updated as current posts.

5. Only Vegetarian recipes will be accepted. (Eggs are not acceptable).

6. Non bloggers can participate by emailing me their recipes to me at mycelebrationsweets@gmail.com

7. You must link your entry to my event on this page as well as to Nivedita’s Kitchen

8. Please use the logo as it helps to promote the event.

ROUNDUP OF COMPLETE MY THALI EVENT - MITHAI AND SWEETS

It gives me great pleasure to present Complete My Thali Sweets and Mithai roundup. I received 40 entries from 25 different bloggers from round the World for this event and I would like to thank all of you  who contributed your delicious mithai recipes to make this wonderful event a success.  It was lovely to see the variety and passion each blogger has for his or her recipes.

A big thank you to Jagruti of Joy of Cooking for giving an opportunity to host this beautiful event.

This is the first time I have hosted an event and it has made me realise the amount of work that goes into it.  It's also made me realise that I too should be sending in my entries when other bloggers are hosting an event.  I hope to find more time for this in the future. I would like to thank all of you who took the time to send in your entries.

These are the entries I received. They are in no particular order.
