EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT : CREATE AND CARVE: FRUIT AND VEG EVENT

You may recall that simply.food  introduced all of us to the wonderful world of decorative food art.

During the past few weeks, Nayna from Simply Food  has transformed fruit or vegetable into a show pieces.  Some of her creations were real Works of Art.

And what a wonderful way for me to start my new year as I have the pleasure of hosting this wonderful event from 1st January 2011 until 31st January.  And I am looking forward to your creative entries.

Using any fruit or vegetable you can make simple garnishes, salads, make pictures, carve leaves, flowers, cut pretty fruit and veg shapes, carve baskets or animals.  In fact any type of carving or garnish will be accepted for the event entry.

You can use any tool to help you create your piece of art. You may send entries where you have used your garnish or carving on a cooked dish but remember the main emphasis should be to show the carving /creation.

Rules for participating in this event are: 

1.Using fruit or vegetable show a garnish or carving you have created . You can post instructions on how to create your garnish/carving although it is not compulsary. If you use an on line source or video to help you , please do not forget to link the source due to copyright reasons and of course to give full credit to the owner.

2.  Non bloggers can send their entries to my email ID and the subject line with your name, Your Post and the picture of your Creation.

3. Multiple entries and Archived entries are allowed if reposted..

4. Non bloggers can participate by emailing me their details.

5. You must link  your entry post to my event on this page as well as simply.food

6.  The use of the  logo is Mandatory as it helps to promote the event .
