KHOYA OR MAWA

Ingredients:

1 litre full fat milk

Procedure:

Khoya or mava is a basic ingredient used in various burfis and sweets made in India. This recipe takes a lot of patience as it needs to be cooked at a medium heat for a fairly long time.

Heat the milk in a non-stick pan on a high flame till it comes to a boil. Reduce flame to medium once the milk has boiled.

Continue simmering while stirring continuously till it becomes semi-solid. Cool and use as required.
